PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:To serve members and guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. To properly maintain the outdoor and indoor pool areas. To insure that pool areas are clean, safe, and enjoyable.RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES: • Maintain proper and adequate supplies in the pool area.• Reports all necessary maintenance for equipment to direct manager.• Be proactive in handling all safety issues in or around the pool area including the Jacuzzi, hideaway, and restroom area.• Complete daily cleaning duties such as emptying trash, restocking and laundering towels, cleaning pool as appropriate.• Transport towel bins to and from Laundry room.• Take guest order for Servers if guest desires service.• Knowledge of Pool hours and activities. • Maintain an open line of communication between guest, management and colleagues.• Ability to read the English language sufficient to conduct small employee meetings to impart new information.• Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.• Regular attendance in conformance with the standards is essential to the successful performance of this position. • Employees with irregular attendance will be subjected to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the pool.• Upon employment, all employees are required to fully support with the Hotel’s Shared Values for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate the Hotel Shared Values will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.Salary Range: $18.00-18.43 |

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:• Physical activities include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing a minimum of 75 pounds.• Walk or stand for caring lengths of time, sometimes for extended periods of 6+ hours.• Ability to stand and move throughout pool and continuously perform essential job functions.SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:• Some knowledge of pool systems.• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.• Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.EDUCATION REQUIRED:Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:• Previous guest services experience helpful. • Previous experience with pool systems helpful.LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:CPR Certification and / or First Aid training preferred. |
